Blue Ribbon PAC is a nonconnected “independent expenditure only” political committee (i.e., a federal “Super PAC”) that is registered with the Federal Election Commission and which is exempt from federal taxation under section 527 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Blue Ribbon PAC may accept unlimited contributions from any source, including individuals, political committees (including other federal Super PACs), corporations, and labor organizations, but may not accept contributions from foreign nationals (except foreign citizens who have a green card) or federal contractors.
Contributions of over $200 per person per year to Blue Ribbon PAC for express advocacy of a candidate, party, or issue during an election are required to be publicly disclosed to the Federal Election Commission.
Blue Ribbon PAC’s spending is independent. It does not make contributions to, or coordinate its spending with, any candidates or political parties.
Contributions to Blue Ribbon PAC are not deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes.
